James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrate finishing the 3D conversion of “TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY”!

It’s finished Terminator fans!  After eight long months of post-production work, the long awaited 3D conversion of the blockbuster film “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” has finally been completed and it is now ready to go to print for theatrical release!  The highly anticipated 3D converted classic will debut in China first, followed by a worldwide release.

With the completion of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D” occurring a couple weeks ago, director James Cameron and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger met in Beverly Hills, California to celebrate the momentous occassion!  And on the day both Hollywood legends decided to celebrate finishing T2 in 3D, they also recognized it coincided with the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. So in honor of that festival’s tradition, both James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger tasted Chinese festival treats like “moon cake” and tea!

What a day!  We’ll update everyone as soon as release dates become available for “Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D”.

  1. Nice its getting released sucks it wont see a release outside of china till 2017, hopefully that gives them the right amount of time to release it on a weekend with not much competition. But I have a question will this release, if its some what successful help with a sequel to genisys ? or are us terminator fans always going to be stuck in the 6 year gap for another instalment, T3 – TS – TG, 6 years between one another, 7 year gap between the original and its sequel

    1. It is our hope that T2 in 3D will be a huge worldwide success theatrically and create a lot of goodwill, tipping the scale and paving the way for Skydance and their investors to feel encouraged to make at least one more Terminator film before they lose the domestic film rights completely. 🙂
