THE TERMINATOR Arnold Schwarzenegger speaks about possible run for Senate.

A couple of days ago, news broke that actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was reportedly considering reentering the political arena by running for a U.S. Senate seat in 2018. Well it took two days, but Arnold finally released a statement pubically to address all this speculation.

Here is what Arnold had to say, per his social media pages:

“I’m deeply flattered by all of the people who have approached me about running for Senate, but my mission right now is to bring sanity to Washington through redistricting reform like we passed here in California. Gerrymandering has completely broken our political system and I believe my best platform to help repair it is from the outside, by campaigning for independent redistricting commissions. Thank you for your kind messages and all of the support and I hope you’ll join me in my battle against gerrymandering with the same enthusiasm.”

Neither a confirmation nor denial, Arnold revealed that his “mission right now” (keyword is now) “is to bring sanity to Washington” and he believes the best way to do that “is from the outside”.

But of course, the election for the Senate seat Arnold is rumored to be interested in, doesn’t take place until November 2018. And at this early point, it’s not necessary to start his campaign if indeed it is his plan to run.

So will Arnold Schwarzenegger have a role in “Terminator 6”, or will he be running for political office again? Unfortunately, it appears only time will tell.

We’ll be back.
