The cable television network AMC (American Movie Classics) has greenlit a new documentary series titled “James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction”, that will feature the Terminator franchise heavily throughout the show!
The announced series, comprising of six episodes an hour long each, will explore the evolution of the science fiction genre across both film and television. In each episode, James Cameron himself will delve into the “big questions” that humanity has been haunted by throughout history and explore how each of these questions have been answered through science fiction media.
These questions will include: How will the world end? Will technology destroy us? What does it mean to be human?” And many of these questions have been pondered in his beloved creations “The Terminator” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”.
James Cameron will discuss his films and other works (with other to-be-announced notable sci-fi creators) and debate their influnce, impact and reflection on today’s society.
The James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction series is expected to debut early 2018 on AMC.
