James Cameron and Skydance are reportedly in TERMINATOR copyright negotiations.

Back in February of 2016, we were contacted by someone who asked to remain anonymous and claimed they were related to a key member involved in “Terminator 6” discussions. This insider claimed to have news to share about James Cameron rentering the creative fold with Skydance to work on a new Terminator film.  Then, as T6 news broke almost a year later, it turned out our contact indeed was correct in regards to Cameron’s return. But that wasn’t the only thing this scooper was correct about.

An appeal to Skydance to finish the GENISYS TRILOGY in another medium.

Now that Paramount Pictures has officially declined their option to continue with the “Terminator Genisys” trilogy, and Skydance looks onward to produce a new Terminator film with creator James Cameron in the mix, a great deal of Terminator fans are left wondering what happened to the Guardian, Sarah and Kyle in the Genisys timeline?  So it is time to let Skydance know, that fans would like to find out.

When the news first broke in January of 2018 that a new Skydance Terminator film was under development with James Cameron “godfathering” the production and “Deadpool” director Tim Miller in negotiations to direct, we were able to hypothesize what type of Terminator movie it would be based on clues the source provided.

We told you!  After our late Saturday report indicating the Paramount Pictures’ decision not to pick up their option to make a sixth Terminator film wasn’t a bad thing, and after all the panic that was ensued by fans after the false reporting by other news sites that “Terminator 6” was dead, and after we released a new article again to reassure fans that they had nothing to fear, we finally have confirmation that we were right.

TERMINATOR 6: Sifting through the misinformation of Paramount’s departure.

The story broke this past Saturday reported by the New York Daily News, that executives at Paramount Pictures have decided not to pick up their option to bring the sixth Terminator film to cinemas across the world.  It was first embraced as good news to fans, but now, after a swell of misinformation, some Terminator fans have grown concerned in regards to the future of T6. Well, we are here to calm those fears.

Paramount Pictures will not be involved with “TERMINATOR 6”!

Hasta La Vista Paramount Pictures!  On March 4th, we reported HERE that a source informed us that in 2017, the long running partnership between Skydance and Paramount Pictures was coming to a close, freeing up Skydance to shop movie projects to any studio in the world.  We were also informed that James Cameron wanted to bring “TERMINATOR 6” to the movie studio he developed a 30 plus year relationship with, none other than 20th Century Fox!  Well now it appears once again, a scoop we received about T6 is revealing itself to be true.

Almost a year ago in February of 2016, we were contacted by someone who asked to remain anonymous and claimed they were related to a key member involved in the “Terminator 6” discussions, and had some news to share. We posted an article about it (found here) and warned readers to treat the information as strictly a rumor. However, now almost 12 months later, fresh from the revelation that James Cameron is involved heavily with developing T6, it appears this inside information may have been more factual than we realized.

We always believed he would be back!  Trusted Hollywood trade news website Deadline has just reported that a sixth Terminator film is now in a pre-production phase, with no one other than Terminator creator James Cameron involved in its development! Yes fans, you read that right!  TERMINATOR 6 IS COMING and James Cameron is going to give it to you!

With the development of computer technology, Arnold Schwarzenegger can play the Terminator forever.

“Pain is temporary. Film is forever.”  This infamous quote, repeated by director John Milius to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger (and the rest of the cast) on the set of 1982’s Conan the Barbarian was used to illustrate a point: Whatever painful and labororius physical obstacles the actors would have to endure in life to make a movie (and the medical toll it would take on their bodies for years to come), it was worth it, because the pain in life will not last.. but film will live on forever.  But as computer technology used in film to recreate human beings has advanced rapidly throughout the years, it appears actors may now live on forever too… and the Terminator franchise will benefit from that greatly.
