We always believed he would be back! Trusted Hollywood trade news website Deadline has just reported that a sixth Terminator film is now in a pre-production phase, with no one other than Terminator creator James Cameron involved in its development! Yes fans, you read that right! TERMINATOR 6 IS COMING and James Cameron is going to give it to you!
The news trade revealed this exciting news today indicating that James Cameron is returning to the franchise he created more than 30 years ago, where he will be “godfathering” (another word often used for producing) a new film that may be focusing on the Future War between humanity and Skynet’s forces. It certainly appears James Cameron’s loose involvement with “Terminator Genisys” as well as his championing the 3D conversion of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” has reignited the cybernetic passion in the Terminator creator, and now he wants back in!
Their sources also reveal that James Cameron himself has entered early talks with “DEADPOOL” director Tim Miller to direct this new Terminator film, which will be a “conclusion of one of cinema’s great science fiction tales.”
Like “Terminator Genisys”, Skydance CEO David Ellison is bankrolling the development of “Terminator 6” which includes finding the perfect script. Ellison is reportedly reaching out to the best science fiction authors in the world, sparing no expense to make sure the next Terminator film has a great story to tell.
It’s too early to tell if just one, or more than one new Terminator film is planned, and when “Terminator 6” and possible other Terminator sequels will be released. It’s also too early to tell if star Arnold Schwarzenegger will be involved. But Skydance and James Cameron has finally put the wheels in motion and a new Terminator film is no longer a dream for fans… it’s a reality.
The Terminator will be back! And we couldn’t be more excited.

Rated R no more PGA 13 bullshit. Deadpool was rated R and whooped ass in fact it whooped all the X-men movies. Terminator is to be a chasing bloody horror destruction type of movie and Cameron knows it. This will be awesome welcome back Cameron and now with the Deadpool director Miller this has to be awesome.

Please, no Arnold, no need for Sarah, John, or Kyle. Future war story. No offense Arnold, but if they use you in a lead role it will only screw up the story. T3 was a rejected T2 script. TS was bad. Genisys, was a timeline disaster. Skynet doesn’t need a human form!
