Will the picture quality be bad for “TERMINATOR 2” in 4K?

Well this doesn’t look promising. The high performance video and audio publication Home Cinema Choice received an advanced review copy of the 4K remastered home video release of “Terminator 2 Judgment Day” and the reviewer found the picture quality to be problematic, to say the least. After the unrelenting delays of both the single disc and endo arm releases, how much disappointment can fans take with this release?

The remastered “TERMINATOR 2” Endo Arm Set is delayed until March 2018!

Well, the hits just keep on coming.  Last week we reported that the 3D/4K Blu-ray release of the remastered “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”, originally slated for the first week of October, was postponed until December (reported HERE).  Well now we have received word that the T2 Endo Arm Special Edition release won’t be coming out now until March of 2018. That’s right, a whole six months later than its initial announced release date.

Pre-Order cancellations rise as the T2 in 3D/4K Blu-Ray is delayed yet again?

Hot on the heels of the T2 Endo Arm Special Edition Blu-Ray set being postponed indefinitely (reported HERE), the single disc release of the “Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D/4K” has been delayed yet again!  This time, the release date has been benched until December!

Lionsgate postpones the release of “TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY” on Home Video.

Late July it was announced that Terminator 2: Judgment Day is coming to home video this October 3rd in the United States, released by Lionsgate!  Many fans were frustrated with the lack of 3D disc, but now fans have something additional to be frustrated with: A delay.

It’s finally here Terminator fans! Back in December 2015, James Cameron announced he would be partnering with DMG Entertainment and Studiocanal to give his 1991 blockbuster “Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ the most advanced 3D conversion to date. Originally targeted to be timed with the film’s 25th Anniversary (a benchmark that has now passed), fans still couldn’t be more excited to see this amazing movie again (or for the first time) where it was meant to be seen… in the cinema!

The first official critical reviews are in for Studiocanal’s theatrical re-release of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and they are positive!  Of course the film itself has already been hailed by critics everywhere as one of the greatest science fiction films of all time, so positive reviews do not come as a surprise.  However, what we are paying close attention to is the analysis of the 3D conversion, remastering, and any other changes that might have occurred to T2, and they seem to be positively received as well.

Lionsgate terminates 3D from TERMINATOR 2’s Blu-Ray home video release in the United States.

Well unfortunately, it appears to be official Terminator fans. When Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D is released on Home Video this October 3rd in the United States, Lionsgate reportedly has no intentions to release it in 3D, the very format this new version of T2 has been trumpeted with since its announcement in December of 2015.

What happened to the 3D in “TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY 3D”?

When the 4K Blu-Ray EndoArm Limited Collector’s Edition was announced yesterday for Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D (reported HERE), it generated a lot of excitement among fans. However, it generated a great deal of confusion too, when a 3D disc and 3D logo was notably absent from the United States version. This made a lot of fans upset, and here’s why:

James Cameron wasn’t completely forthcoming about altering the digital effects in “TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY 3D”?

Back in February, during a live Question & Answer session with James Cameron at the Berlin Film Festival after the world premiere of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D”, James Cameron revealed that the only scene that would be digitally altered was a fixing of a falling windshield from the T-1000’s truck (as it crashed into the drainage canal).  But now after the release of the film’s theatrical trailer on display to the world, Cameron’s declaration no longer seems to be factual.

Studiocanal targets “TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY 3D” Blu-ray release for late 2017.

As Terminator fans around the world anticipate the theatrical re-release of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” this summer with a brand new 3D conversion, Studiocanal is already prepping for its home video release. And apparently, fans won’t have to be waiting long to add the newest rendition of this science fiction classic to their home video library!

It’s finished Terminator fans!  After eight long months of post-production work, the long awaited 3D conversion of the blockbuster film “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” has finally been completed and it is now ready to go to print for theatrical release!  The highly anticipated 3D converted classic will debut in China first, followed by a worldwide release.
